Blue-light transmittance in sunglasses over long-term irradiation within a solar simulator

High-energy visible light (commonly referred to as blue light) transmittance in sunglasses plays an important role eye safety. Current standards do not have specific requirements for ocular protection, the past. However, literature has warned against potential harm caused by light. The limits imposed past state that average spectral transmission 380–500 nm range should be 20% excess of luminous 380–780 range. on evaluations blue-blocker and their aging processes is scarce.
